What a week it’s been! With the US elections stirring up emotions across the world, it’s hard not to feel the impact—whether it’s hope, uncertainty, or something in between.
And speaking of the United States, this month also brings Thanksgiving—a tradition that, much like the elections, brings up a complex mix of feelings for many of us.
I love the Thanksgiving tradition in America! How wonderful to dedicate a day to giving thanks for the blessings we have in our lives. I sometimes think it would be nice for us to have something like this where I live, in Australia.
Having said that, Thanksgiving for many people also brings a complex mix of emotions.
Thanksgiving is often celebrated as a time for gratitude and connection, yet for many, it also brings a complex mix of emotions. Family gatherings can stir up memories—both joyful and painful. And with the added weight of today’s world—including the recent election results and ongoing uncertainties—this season may feel especially heavy.
